Morning Fuel: Django Django - Break the Glass

May 12, 2015 by J. Hamlet

Morning Fuel: Django Django - Break the Glass. I liked Django Django’s first album maybe too much. I played it into oblivion, those odd dance-guitar riffs and snappy drum beats running in the background of my mind for what felt like years. Good to hear on the new album that they’re back with a lot of the same things that made them great before, but with a little more of an expansive, spacey, and dreamy tone. It may not be as dancey (and it may be getting fancy, even), but it’s just as catchy and addictive. The excellent keyboard and odd percussion and percussive sounds are in the forefront as always and this track really shows that in the weird glassy breakdown at the end.
